Pizza Lawyer

Oakleypage

Img_4255editedit_copy_2 A while back, there was a pizza chain who did a commercial poking fun of the "30 Minutes or it's Free" offer by Domino's Pizza.  Basically, the pizza delivery guy was a laywer who delivered your pizza with a bundle of legal disclaimers regarding the free pizza.  In other words, there were so many catches with the free deal, that there was no way you'd ever get it free.  When he rang the bell, he greeted the customer with a cheery "Pizza Lawyer" greeting and followed it by some crazy fast talking disclaimer, like you see on television commercials with "some restrictions do apply" type rules.

These commercials really cracked me up because believe it or not, my husband really IS the Pizza Lawyer. His good buddy is the founder of some pizza joints, and Andy does a lot of the legal work revolving around the establishment of new stores.

Last night we got to attend a "Friends and Family" night for the newest restaurant that's opening on Monday.  It was basically a dress rehearsal for the staff, and we got to eat and drink for free.  Their pizza is really delicious and the service is always great.  We had such a great time, and a fun family night out really perked up Shannon, which was really needed!

20080507 Anyhow, if you live in Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, Northern Kentucky, Columbus (coming later 2008) or St. Louis, get to Dewey's and check out there stupendous hand-tossed pizza, service, and music!  Andy's buddy Andrew had a vision of his perfect pizza joint and he has made it happen.  You can read more about it here.  Yummy stuff, with no fast talking lawyers or disclaimers, I promise!

Yummy! I am sort of a pizza lawyer too since it is my favorite food. Wish we had a Dewey's -- I'm still searching for the perfect pizza place near us.

Always looking for good pizza. They'll probablly put the new resteraunt up north near Polaris which I don't get to too often. Will keep an eye out for it. Have a great day!

Yummy!! Domino's doesn't have that 30 min or less guarantee here, sucks too because it always takes longer then 30 min's LOL

I love me some pizza!!!!! Ok, so when I say on my blog that I'm going to Ohio next time, remind me to check them out, though we'll be near Columbus. Think they'll have one there soon?

Have a great day Barb!

Pizza lawyer, LOL! I haven't seen that commercial because we are apparently not in a guaranteed 30 min delivery area.
You're making me hungry for pizza now!

Oh pizza! I love pizza but dont live in those areas, any chance they would come up to northern WI?

sounds like fun. Pizza lawyer would be a good Saturday Night Live skit.

We're always up for good pizza. We'll have to check it out next time we're in Dayton.

Love Deweys! Their salads are great too.

FREE pizza?!?! You lucky thing. Looks like a nice place!

LOL!!! My DH is a lawyer and actually owned a few Pizza Huts with his BIL. Great story. I'm still looking for quality products and papers for karate layouts, if you see anything, I would love if you could send me a quick heads-up! Thanks! Always love your blog - it's terrific!!!!

I live in Liberty Twp and can't wait for Deweys to open. They also have opened a graeters next to it!!
