Earl has been a huge help to Acme and me in particular, since I'm basically self-taught in my webmaster role.
If you're in the southwest Ohio area and you could use some training or web development for your business, check out Earl's company,
Internet Sales Plus, and tell him that I sent you over! You can also read about the Wilmington Small Business training
here.
Anyhow, I usually have one of my cameras with me at all times, but I didn't yesterday. When I was driving into Wilmington, I was regretting not having it with me, as the drive is really beautiful, and the town is really quite charming.
When I was leaving and walking back to my car, however, a goth-looking dude was "texting while walking" and slammed right into me, despite my efforts to dodge him. I guess I really do take up too much of the sidewalk. Anyhow, that's when it dawned on me that my new crackberry takes pics too. Now it's not up there with my big camera, nor even my baby camera, but it's something, and it was fun to experiment with what it could do.
So this morning I present to you another edition of Picture Taking While Driving ~ Country Edition. Or perhaps this should be the Cell Phone edition. If I would have had more time, I would have put a texture mask over some of them to compensate for the lack of picture quality, but for now, these will have to do.
Most were taking while driving with the exception of a few. You got to love country roads, where you can drive as slowly as possible to frame your shot, without other cars tailing you. I guess when they ban cell phones while driving, this option will no longer be available.
Do me a computer geek favor today, okay? Click over to
Earl's EbizNuts blog and give him some web traffic love. Tell him that he needs to update!
Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day! Last year I made a "red and white" dinner for my family, and I've been asked to repeat the treat again this year, so we're going with it. You can read about my menu, with recipes included here:
Love = Fat Grams.
Well, we'll be going forward as long as a friend doesn't go into labor. She's due any minute now, and I've been invited to photograph the birth. I've only been to two births before, my own, and the one that I hosted. I'm so honored to be asked and I can NOT wait to do this. I'm thinking that the baby is coming in the next 24 hours, so we might have to push off the red and white night for a day or so, but that will be worth it.

I totally should have fished my crackberry out of isolation to take some pics yesterday - had a wonderful drive along some midwest country roads, at sunset, myself.

I would never drive and photograph at the same time - and have a whole album of pictures to prove it!
(Don't forget the good camera for the birth - and extra batteries!)

Great shots. My family is from the country and when we visit I love to stop and take pictures. But I do STOP and take them side the road. LOL But in the country you can do that.

Just make sure to put your crackberry down if you see a cop and you're in Jefferson County. I know they're banned there while driving. I have a friend who lives there.
