Yes, we walked! In fact, we walked and walked (and sweat a lot) and walked some more! I say we because Shannon decided to join me. I had a last minute change of plan and we ended up doing walking with the downtown group which got started earlier in the day. That was a good choice for a lot of different reasons, primarily, I'd rather take pictures of construction sites and architecture than trees and flowers!
So here's my summary by the numbers:
- 1012 photos taken
- approximately 350 potential HDR photos in the making
- 300 rejects that got thrown out
- 125 pics taken by Shannon
- nearly 100 degree temperatures
- 50 walkers
- 8 GB flash card filled up
- 6 miles walked
- $5 parking
- about 4 gallons of water chugged
- 3 barges spotted
- 2 states, 2 bridges, and 2 stadiums
- One Great Day!
Despite the massive heat and profuse sweating, it was so worth going, and I'm so happy that I didn't decide to blow it off and stay home in the air conditioned comfort.
I have a lot of pics to go through, but here are a few that I've finished so far. Shannon took some great shots too, and I'll share those and more of mine later in the week as I get them done.
That's it for today, have a great Monday!

My friend Cheri Andrews, who I met online through scrapping sites, went on the walk, too. Here's a link to some of her pictures: http://cheriandrews.blogspot.com/2010/07/mia.html

Don't ask me why I get this vibe, but the wedding dress in HDR takes on sort of a gothic, vampire-y edge. Very "Twilight."

Mary, I use Photomatix Pro to create the HDR images. You can read more about how to do it at http://www.stuckincustoms.com/hdr-tutorial/ . I also use some noiseware, Lightroom, and Photoshop, of course!
